The hardest part of installation involves removing the CPU board and installing a third ROM socket. The holes on the circuit board have to be desoldered, and the new socket soldered in -- this is do-able for anyone with decent soldering skills. (it's also the most likely point to screw things up, if you don't know what you're doing.)
Two holes have to be drilled in the back panel for the In/Out jacks; the new circuit board has to be glued to the CPU board, and four wires from the new board need to be soldered to the CPU board.
Replacing the two existing ROMs with the three new ROMs is the final step -- reassemble everything & test it out.
The Kenton is unaffected by this mod.
